About Kelly

Native San Diegan Kelly Ozaki discovered her love of jewelry design through her association with the theater. She took on set, costume and jewelry design projects as part of her college studies.

Friends and family delighted in her jewelry creations, but it wasn’t until a shop-owner friend sold them to people that Kelly realized she’d found her niche. She formed Lotus9 (commemorating the beautiful lotus flower and her birth on the 9th day of the 9th month at 9 a.m.) and now focuses on creating beautiful jewelry designs for clients from wood, shell, semi-precious stones, silver, and gold. She also does restringing repairs, and has developed a niche creating custom designs for brides and bridal parties.

Kelly enjoys designing unique, affordable jewelry; client satisfaction is her primary goal. She also believes in supporting her community. Kelly serves on the Board of San Diego Youth & Community Outreach, and as part of her commitment to the organization, regularly teaches jewelry making to kids.
